{Family Favorite} Caramel Monkey Bread & Link Up Co-Host!

I'm excited to have been offered a co-hosting gig with Miss Carrie from My Favorite Finds.  This week's Munchin' on Mondays link share will be combined with Must Try Mondays.  Your awesome recipes will be displayed on both sites :)

Yay!  See? Mondays aren't so bad after all....

But first, I would like to share my yummy monkey bread recipe.

It's Sunday Morning....
A time when the pace is a little slower,  laid back.

The kids are sleeping  in...
the coffee is brewing...
it's quiet...
shhh..

Once I have achieved my coffee induced zen,  I'm inspired.

I flip through my trusty cookbooks and discover my favorite monkey bread recipe.

It's like an old friend has been found.  I feel comforted, happy.

Let the day begin.

Caramel Monkey Bread

3 (12 ounce) Tubes, Refrigerated Biscuits
1 Cup Sugar
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)
1/2 Cup Raisins
                                                                                                       Print Recipe
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease one 9 or 10 inch tube pan
  • Mix white sugar & cinnamon in a plastic bag. Cut biscuits into quarters.  Shake 6 to 8  biscuit pieces in the sugar mixture.    Arrange pieces in the bottom of the prepared pan.  Continue until all biscuits are coated and placed in pan.  If using nuts & raisins, arrange them in and among the biscuit pieces as you go along.
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter with the brown sugar over medium heat.  Boil for 1 minute.  Pour over biscuits.
  • Bake @ 350 degrees for 35 minutes.  Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a plate.  Do not cut.  The bread just pulls apart.
