Tropical {Detox} Smoothie… – Lori Ann's Food and Fam

Tropical {Detox} Smoothie…

I knew it wouldn’t last forever.

All the glorious, blissful, unleashed gluttony during the holidays.
I enjoyed every single minute of it.

My jeans have officially reached their maximum capacity.
I need to relieve some of the pressure my waistline is putting on them.
Not by undoing the top button, either.

This was my first time trying something with fruit & veggies all mixed together.
I was a little nervous.
It’s green.

It’s Greeeen.

Oh my gosh.  I just finished my smoothie and it was so good.
It tasted way better than I ever though it would.
One minor drawback.
I think I have spinach breath.
 Yep.  I can smell it.
Just did the old breathe into your hand & sniff test.
Very minor. I can deal with that.
I will be making this again tomorrow.
Might even try to get hubby to drink it.

You are so funny! This sounds like a great pick me up after the holiday. All the fruits and veggies are great for the system. Do you think a juicer would work for this or should it stay a smoothie?

  5. Lori Ann | 9th Jan 13

To be honest Millie, I've not ever used a juicer before. You could possibly juice the spinach & pineapple, then add the coconut for taste. To make a smoothie, the juiced fruit & veggies could then be added to yogurt and the rest of the ingredients in a blender. Just a thought!

Yum! And you could even make coconut milk ice cubes! I haven't tried the flax yet but it's on my shopping list for the week! (And my jeans are also screaming for me to drop a few pounds!)
