My Girlie Girl and I were invited to cousin Amanda’s bridal shower a few Saturdays ago. Exciting news right? I’m laughing as I re-read this.
Can I take just a minute of your time to tell you all about Amanda?

She’s marrying a really sweet guy, the Love of Her Life-
And they are going to live happily ever after with their ducks named Polly, Dolly, Tex and Rex.

We were asked to bring a dessert to the shower since the family was preparing all the food themselves. (Which I love, by the way.) There’s always such an awesome variety of meats, salads, and of course desserts to fill the ‘ole chinet paper plate up with. Sometimes I have to make two trips to get it all!
Yes, I am that gal.
I decided to bring mini fruit pizzas. I dug out my Mother In Laws recipe from many, many moons ago. And was a little more than surprised when I found it in a little recipe tin full of cards from when we were first married in 1993.
She used to make fruit pizza upon request, as a “birthday cake”, candles and all.
I cheated the recipe a little by using pre made sugar cookie dough, which I probably won’t do next time. The pre made sugar cookies were a touch too sweet.

I was just informed by my Dear Mother that so far this year’s Easter menu will include ham, mashed potatoes, and mom’s famous deviled eggs. It’s now my job to figure out what to bring to to go along with the rest of the food.Lori Ann
