Beat the Boredom: Make Great Burgers At Home with Burger Cheese

As isolation and social distancing continue to extend throughout Australia and across the world, our boredom is reaching an absolute maximum. To break the chain and flatten the curve as soon as possible, it is essential to stay home.

On the one hand, staying home and chilling is something that we all wanted to do for ages and now it is our biggest nightmare.

However, we are extremely lucky and privileged to be feeling bored at home, with no coronavirus symptoms, and working from home.

There are a lot of things that we can do while we are at home. Watching Netflix, jigsaw puzzles, and cleaning your home – all these things have become something to do to pass the time. How many times are you going to solve puzzles, re-watch movies, and clean? I prefer cooking because we have unlimited dishes to make – new recipes, new tastes, I never get bored of cooking.

Cooking is one of the best things we can do to beat the boredom, and I think it is the right time to cook and innovate in your kitchen because you don’t know when you are going to get this much time off again. Most importantly, it has been a long time since we went to a restaurant and ate our favourites. So why not make great burgers at home and treat yourself.

So, today I am going to share with you myfavorite best burger recipes with the three best kinds of burger cheeses in Australia. If not one, you might have another in your pantry.

Let’s begin with the ingredients – burger buns, ground chicken, spices, garlic, onion, salt & pepper, olive oil, lettuce, sliced onions and tomatoes, jalapenos, and cheese slices.

Before we get onto the instructions, I want to talk about the cheese slices I use in my burgers. I mostly use three kinds of cheese – Hi-Melt cheese or American cheese, Swiss cheese slices, and Natural Cheddar.

Hi-Melt Cheese: This is one of the best cheese you can use in burgers; it adds a sharp taste to the burgers. It is a versatile cheese with a high melting texture, and it does not leave oil when heated.

Natural Cheddar: Most people don’t prefer processed cheese; for them, natural cheddar is the best choice. It has a mild traditional cheddar flavour that enhances the overall taste of burgers.

Swiss Cheese Slices: Swiss cheese melts beautifully, and it has a very distinctive yet mellow taste, which makes it a perfect cheese for burgers. It is nutty and buttery and somehow tastes like a caramelized onion, which is a plus point to use it in burgers.

Now that you have already thought which cheese slice you are going to use in your burger, let’s make the burgers.

First, take the ground chicken, mix it with chopped onions, spices, garlic, and salt & pepper. Then, heat a pan and add some olive oil, once the oil gets heated, shape and cook chicken patties.

After the patties are ready, place a slice of cheese on top of it, remember don’t flip it. In a few minutes, the cheese starts to melt and remove it from the heat.

Now, slice the bun from the middle and toast it. Now let’s assemble the ingredients. Place lettuce, onions, a chicken patty with cheese slice, some more tomatoes, onion, jalapenos, and finally cover it with the remaining half-bun. The burger is ready to be served.
