There’s a saying that “everything’s bigger in Texas,” and hopefully that also applies to your appetite. Dallas is famous for its mouthwatering steaks, breathtaking barbecue and tantalizing Tex-Mex. Among Dallas’ leading attractions is its high-end shopping outlets. One of your first stops should be Highland Park Village, where you can complete luxury shopping in a historical setting. You’ll be equally amazed by the center’s inspiring architecture as you will the prestigious brands and splendid deals. That’s only the beginning, however, as the Dallas Galleria and NorthPark Center are also ideal places for shopping sprees. Additionally, no visit is complete without seeing Downtown Dallas’ flagship Nieman Marcus store.
Sports
Every discussion about Dallas sports starts with America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys. The iconic football franchise plays in nearby Arlington at AT&T Stadium, one of the most impressive sports stadiums in the country. It’s worth attending a game there just to experience the amenities. The city also is home to MLB’s Texas Rangers and the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, as well as the NHL’s Dallas Stars, which recently came within two games of winning the coveted Stanley Cup.
